As a main tourist attraction in Xiangshan Mountain, Xiangshanyan Temple is an ancient temple with a thousand-year history which was firstly built in the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1127). Possessing hundreds of monks and nuns during a period of great prosperity, Xiangshanyan Temple mainly worships Master Qingshui and ranks as the largest temple in Xiang’an as well as the pilgrimage site for believers from Xiamen, Kinmen and surrounding areas. “Xiangshan Mountain” is formerly called “Huangshan Mountain” where Zhu Xi, a Neo-Confucianism master in the Southern Song Dynasty who had served as the Deputy Governor of Tong’an County, took several trips and renamed “Huangshan Mountain” as “Xiangshan Mountain” after experiencing abundant fragrance of both grasses and trees. Owing to the compliments from such a Neo-Confucianism mater, Xiangshan Mountain has been widely known for thousands of years. Nowadays, Xiangshan Mountain has been developed into an ecological protection zone, a natural landscape protection zone, a historical site protection zone, a landscape restoration zone, a tourist spot and a development control zone relying on the abundant landscape resources.
Bus route: Take Bus No. 753 at Wucun Bus Station - transfer to Bus No. 761 at Huijing Plaza (transfer station) - get off at Chenban Station, and the Scenic Spot is about 3 kilometers away.
Self-driving route: Wucun Bus Station - West Lianqian Road - Chenggong Avenue - Jiangtou Interchange - Xianyue Road - Xiang’an Tunnel - Xiang’an Avenue - Xinxing Road - Xinlian Road - drive to Xiangshan Road for the Scenic Spot.
